  • 1:17 scale replica built by Joseph Galaske, member of the United States Submarine Service from February 1950 to July 1953.
  • This Virginia-class nuclear submarine is the fourth ship to carry the name "USS Missouri", following an illustrious line of ships dating back to the American Civil War.  These include the original USS Missouri, a Union steam-powered warship, the CSS Missouri, a Confederate ironclad transport ship, the USS Missouri BB-11, part of Theodore Roosevelt's "Great White Fleet" and an active participant in the First World War, and the most famous of the group, the USS Missouri BB-63, nicknamed "Mighty Mo", which held the Japanese surrender that ended WWII.
  • Virginia-class attack submarines are advanced stealth submarines designed for multiple missions, including deep-sea warfare and shallow water operations.  These subs utilize some of the most advanced sonar equipment mounted on the sides and underbellies of the ship, leaving almost no blind spots.
  • The USS Missouri is capable of running for more than 30 years on its nuclear power supply without needing to refuel.
