  • Mass produced for the Allies during WWII and saw combat in nearly every location during the war.
  • The Willys MB could be modified with armor, wire cutters, and could wade through water to a depth of of more than two feet-- even more if the engine housing and electrical components were properly insulated.
  • More than 360,000 of the Willys jeeps were manufactured during the Second World War.
  • The example you see here in the museum was never used in combat, the War ended soon after its manufacture and it passed into private ownership.
